Hi! I'm Toni Kauko, an indie music producer and also a co-founder of It Might Get Loud Productions, an audio sampler & plugin developer. I've been playing music for the most of my life and now my business is also based on that experience. I've been composing music for most of my life, but finally taking it out to the world in the form of my first official release, "Amoria - Faith In Humanity Lost"

I've composed lots of music in the past without any real meaning to the process or "bigger direction", but this time I felt a need to free myself. I took an adventure of musical self-development. I lost the usual way of composing process, and just started experimenting with different approaches, instruments and thoughts, losing as much of the musical theory I know. Still, I didn't want to go full avant-garde since I really much enjoy catchy, simple melodies and rhythms. The result is somewhere in between, I don't think you'll find any band that sounds exactly like this.

"Faith In Humanity Lost" Is a theme album circling around it's name. Conflict and irrationality of humanity plays a huge part in lyrics and thus affecting the composition. It's so controversial subject it tickles my nerves and I had to let it out. In the song called 'Human Singularity' I sing the lines that defines a lot of that controversy:

"We fight for survival of our breed
thus creating war, so we bleed
Killing everyone in the process
of self-elimination"

It's ironical, and it's true. It's a major way of doing things in this world. Conquering in the name of survival and greater benefit of a nation, to kill another nation. It's happened through-out the history, even in the 2k, and will happen in the future. It's so saddening I can't think about it too much. so that's why the need to let it out. Human as species is a dumb one, and we, even if smart individuals, can't do much about it, but to cope and survive. That's what everyone is doing, but some do more harm to others in the process.

Some of the album tracks are more towards artistical freedom, expressing feelings and moods, whereas others are more direct in their message. I'd say most tracks still hold some mystical value that you'll have to unravel yourself, and that's a quality I've kept with my music through my entire life. It's in the lyrics, but with the composing I feel I have much to learn about it. But that's what this all is about.

I welcome you to listen and feel the world around you, as I see it.
